I’ve been thinking of this topic a lot lately and I thought I’d pen down something about it.

Many times in my business life, I see people who are out to make a BIG windfall. They go to wealth creation seminars, try the next "get rich quick" scheme, test various investment vehicles and most of the time, the end up finding themselves at the same place that they originally started. Sometimes being even more broke and desperate.

I’m also writing this because I see many close friends doing the same thing. Sincere, honest people seeking to make an honest earning but most of the time, the mindset of making Big money causes them to forget something simple and essential… Cashflow!

Sincerely, I care for these people and I hope that they can see that making consistent increments of cashflow
accumulates to a substantial amount of money. And what comes with that are emotions such as security, peace of mind and harmony.

It is really a simple question:

"If you can choose between making $100,000 and $10,000… which would you choose?"

Most people when asked this question will not hesitate to answer $100,000. However, If I change the question to:

"If you can choose between making $100,000 a year vs $10,000 a week… which would you choose?"

The answer is really simple. $10,000 a week is faster than $100,000 a year.

So… the mindset that I’d like to address here is… seek transactions that allows you to make fast (but most of the time smaller) amounts of money, rather than go through a period of "no cashflow" just to have the bigger amount of money.

In the long run, this is more sustainable.

Got this from T Harv Eker’s newsletter today and thought I would like to share with you.

Many of us who are into attracting wealth sometimes forget this too. That while we go about our day to day, doing our best to become financially independent, we focus too much on “Our efforts to generate our returns” rather than “Asking and then receiving”. Not to sound too religious about asking, there is a force in the universe that gets moving when we ask.

The next step (in my opinion) after asking, is to be open to receiving. Receive well my friend.

Wealth File #10:

Rich people are excellent receivers.
Poor people are poor receivers.

If I had to nail down the number one reason most people do not reach their financial potential, it would be this: most people are poor ‘receivers’. They may or may not be good at giving, but they are definitely bad at receiving. And because they are bad at receiving, they don’t receive!

The main reason people are challenged by receiving is that they feel unworthy or undeserving. This syndrome runs rampant through our society. I would guess that over 90 percent of individuals have feelings of not being good.

The reality is, if you think you’re worthy, you are. If you think you’re not worthy, you’re not. Either way, you will live into your story!

To your success.

I got the following from Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich. This message was taken off the Power Talk audio series by Anthony Robbins.

Somehow, in the midst of making money and attracting wealth, maybe we should also be thinking of how we can increase our capacity of accumulating wealth. Maybe this might sound a little deep but bear with me here. If a person hasn’t learnt to BE wealthy, even if he / she earns or makes a lot of money (a good example here would be lottery winners), it would still be spent and the person goes back to the original ‘broke’ self. This is what T Harv Eker in his book Secrets of the Millionaire Mind calls the financial thermostat.

So, while we are making money, perhaps it would be useful to also raise our financial thermostat, to be able to increase our capacity to hold wealth. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to present to you the 12 things that constitutes real riches.

  1. A positive mental attitude
  2. Sound physical health
  3. Harmony in human relationships
  4. Freedom from fear
  5. The hope of future achievement
  6. The capacity for applied faith
  7. Willingness to share one’s blessings with others
  8. To be engaged in the labour of love
  9. An open mind towards all subjects and all people
  10. Complete self discipline
  11. Wisdom in which to understand people
  12. Financial security

Notice that the positive mental attitude and the rest comes first and money being the last on the list. Guess money as an energy gets attracted to us when all-of-the-above is achieved. 😉

Have Fun Y’all!
